Black Desert Sun

It's not what I planned. I had planned a poncho-wearing day of the dead skull, smoking a blunt and swigging tequila while squatted next to a Saguaro. I got some of those elements, but when I tried to draw him sitting down I screwed everything up, so I just cut that part off. There's two references here. The Black Sun could be taken as a Star Wars reference. Though I was inspired by Lamb of God's song Blacken the Cursed Sun. Also the sloppily rendered bats are inspired by Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas Gonzo art. I didn't feel like trying too hard on this one. It was just a cool picture I saw in my mind.
